According to Unicef & WFP: More than 7.2 million people living in conflict-affected communities across the Middle East face acute food insecurity, including 1.6 million experiencing severe hunger. Years of conflict, economic collapse, and displacement have left millions struggling to find their next meal.

A Mother Has One Meal. Children Are Waiting.

“My children are the most precious part of my life. They’re also the ones I worry about the most,” says Manal, a 26-year-old mother. “Whenever I looked at them and saw how weak they had become, my heart broke.” Years of hardship, displacement, and economic instability have left Manal’s family struggling to survive in a conflict-affected community. Sharing a small home with other displaced families, her husband works long days as a laborer, yet still cannot earn enough to provide regular meals. As food became scarcer, her children grew weaker, and every day brought the painful question no parent should have to face: how do you comfort a hungry child when you have nothing left to give?

We never have enough food. The house is full of hungry children. How would you say ‘no’ to a child when they ask for food. My husband and I used to cry every night when our children went to bed hungry. They were too thin, and we feared losing them.
